Shuri Castle

This is Shuri Castle where the king used to live. Okinawa used to be its own country before it became part of Japan.

It was a beautiful day so sunny and warm.

This is a replica of the throne.

Here is a model of the kingdom when the whole Okinawan government would meet for a meeting with the king.

The next few photos are of a traditional dance that at one time was performed for the king.

This is outside of the castle. Mama and me are standing in front of a big wall meant to keep out unwanted guest.

Here is my whole family standing in front of the entrance to the castle grounds.

I am so exhausted, but still very cute.
